Bette Davis On The Edge

Show Dates: 9/12/2014 7:30:00 PM through 9/20/2014 7:30:00 PM

A world premiere of a new play by Christine St. John

Bette Davis is back, and the night is about to get bumpier!

In the early morning hours of Oct. 31, 1962, motion picture legend Bette Davis is waiting anxiously for the reviews of “Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?” If the picture is a success, it will hail the desperately needed comeback for the star’s fading career. If not, it will provide a sad and embarrassing epitaph. As she waits, she reflects on her career, from the “talkies” to the present day. Her story is the entire history of the American Motion Picture industry

Bette Davis On the Edge, a new one-woman show about the screen legend, written and performed by Christine St. John, an American actress, who has spent the last two decades working in London, and directed by renowned Chicago director, teacher and casting agent, Jane Brody, will receive its world premiere at the Mainstreet Theatre beginning on September 12th, and running for four performances through September 20th

Following its run in Michigan City, Bette Davis On The Edge will tour to venues in the Midwest, New York City, and London.

Don't miss your chance to be part of this special presentation, kicking off the 2014-15 Canterbury Winter Arts series!
